Abstract:
This study was conducted to explore the problems encountered by some Libyan under graduation in using subject-verb agreement and pronoun antecedent agreement in written English. The researchers used both quantitive and qualitative approaches in the study. They used appropriate methods of data collection which is included attest and semi -structured interview. The participants targeted in this study were 10 undergraduate university students majoring in English as a foreign language. Data analysis showed that students have problems in using subject verb agreement and pronoun –antecedent agreement as practice. Hence, the researchers make some recommendations about teaching grammatical rules in general and subject-verb agreement and pronoun-antecedent agreement in particular in Libyan higher education institution
