dc.description.abstract Nowadays, there are several technical applications that can be used to facilitate teaching and serve the learners' needs. Therefore, it depends on the desire of the teacher about choosing between employing modern techniques in his work. The purpose behind this study is to shed light on the role of using educational technology and its importance in the field of EFL teaching and learning. It attempts to explore the most used technical applications. To construct this work, a case study was conducted at Alasmarya Islamic University, specifically, the English Department at the Faculty of Arts, where the EFL students and teachers were selected as the sample population. A number of research instruments were used to collect data. The questionnaire was addressed to the teachers and the students. The data collected were analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively. all of participates recognized the importance of using educational technology and confirmed that it has a significant role in the EFL teaching and learning process. en_US
